It's backwards. Deal with it.

My shoutbox is giving me crap at the moment, which is why I can't seem to reply to it at the moment. Bear with.
A few new quotes, a site update, and a load of work to be done. Life is chugging along, but life is busy, and does not forgive.
I'd been meaning to finally recommence work on After Dark, but, like many of my plans, they've been superseded by life commitments, mostly of the academic kind.
What's been keeping me busy? I've been covering assignments and tests from here to hell knows where. I've been doing some legwork in order to pull a few strings for my next semester of uni enrolment. I have enlisted myself as part of the ACM Programming Competition team at my uni. I have taken up the role of one of three leaders (with DaVince and FireTalon) in the Sphere Community Game project, codenamed EspherA, and am taking steps to making forward progress with it.
And I wrapped it all up by purchasing the four marvellous DVDs that comprise the entire series of Firefly. It's one helluva series, Fox definitely shot themselves in the foot when they canned this. I trekked into the big city (Sydney's CBD) to get this. The store I went into actually had it sold out. I asked about it, and they gave me the answer immediately: it was sold out. It was almost like they got that question all the time. As a television series boxset, it's been in Amazon's Top 20 ever since it was released a couple of years back, which is notable because the other 19 have been around for only two months tops. A wonderfully humble science fiction tale about freedom and family. Anyway, despite my eagerness to watch the whole thing from end to end, I've got obligations to fill.
I've been playing Cyber Chick, a Metroid-alike written by WisdomDude, and ported to FreeBASIC. It's quite entertaining, if a little tricky. It's been in the works for years, and has been described by its author as the "ultimate demo". An action platformer is a difficult beast to code in any language, so I applaud WisdomDude's continuing effort.
I could prattle on all day, but I'd like to sleep. It's a long day ahead of me tomorrow, and I think I have a cold.
