IMHO
TV
Well, TV and TV-related topics.
- Battlestar Galactica (sci-fi series) - Interestingly, a show that actually deserves the attention it receives, which is plenty. Awesome watching, great acting and intelligent scripting have turned a cheap Star Wars ripoff into a drama that will make you question the human condition. It has Firefly-inspired camera angles too! Shiny!
- Blind Justice (cop drama) - One of the only two cop dramas that don't make me want to die of boredom (see also The Shield). A heartfelt, but believable tale of a detective gone blind.
- Firefly (sci-fi TV series, axed) - Some of the best watching I've had in my entire life... stupid US TV stations *sniff*. Joss Whedon's personal favourite series (he also made Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel), and later produced a reasonably successful film based on this series, called Serenity. Buy the gorramn movie DVD, or violence is going to ensue.
- House (medical drama) - Proof that not all doctors are created equal. Five outta five stars for compulsive viewing! Dr. Gregory House is practically my hero.
- Dr. Percival 'Perry' Cox (from Scrubs) - Steals the damn limelight, and I love it! A pain in the ass with a heart of gold. I look up to him, in much the same way that J.D. does.
- Samurai Jack (animated series) - Strangely addictive. Details the everyday plights of a samurai plunged into a future of evil. Four stars out of five. Worth a look in.
- Scrubs (hospital sitcom) - Funny as! Owns every other sitcom in existence! Channel Seven (Sydney, Australia) is currently airing new episodes in the late night timeslot.
- The Shield (cop drama) - A hardcore, gritty drama about the members of the LAPD. This show is a must-see, must-watch. A little violent, but brilliant scripting and acting!
